On 11 November 2024, the award ceremony for the 38th Chungcheongnam-do Industrial Design Competition was held at the main auditorium of Nonsan Cultural Centre, South Korea. The competition attracted numerous outstanding design entries, leading to fierce competition. Students from our institute participating in the double-degree collaborative programme with Korea National Kongju University actively took part and achieved outstanding results.
Our students' entries spanned fields such as digital media art and product design, closely focusing on industry demands, showcasing solid professional skills and creative standards. Throughout the preparation and the competition process, Professor Jing Byoung-Pyo, Professor Lee Dong-Yeol, Professor Lee Jong-Ho, and teacher Zheng Lingjing provided full support, including guidance for the students' works, on-site instructions during the competition and award ceremony, and assisting with practical matters, offering significant help to the students. Through this competition, students not only earned recognition but also expanded their international perspectives and gained valuable practical experience.
It is reported that participation in this competition is an essential part of the double-degree collaborative programme between the International Institute of Creative Design (IICD) and Korea National Kongju University. The institute has long emphasised international education, broadening students' learning channels through deep cooperation with overseas universities and providing diversified practical opportunities. This award is a testament to students' proactive efforts and also highlights the institute's significant progress in international education.
This achievement further demonstrates IICD's efforts and effectiveness in international exchange and cooperation. In the future, the institute will continue to deepen cooperation with overseas universities, contributing to cultivating design talents equipped with innovative capabilities and international perspectives, thus injecting greater vitality into industry development.
