From the 8th to the 9th of November 2024, our academy successfully carried out the enterprise and institutional visit segment of the Study and Exchange Programme for Key Teachers or Professional Leaders from Vocational Colleges. The theme of this training programme was Exchange Visits to Suzhou Sembcorp Nano Technology Company and Jiangsu Changzhou Technician College.
On 8th November, our professors Ma Jianli, Chang Xin, and Wang Yuheng led a delegation to visit Suzhou Sembcorp Nano Technology Company. The company staff warmly received the group, provided a detailed introduction to the company's development history, areas of expertise, and talent requirements, and guided the teachers on a tour of the modern laboratory. This visit deepened the teachers' understanding of Singaporean high-tech enterprises and provided valuable insights for designing talent cultivation programmes and exploring school-enterprise cooperation.
On 9th November, the group visited Jiangsu Changzhou Technician College. Established in 1960, the college is a nationally recognised key technical school focused on training highly skilled talent and specialising in vocational and technical education. Teacher Zou Weimin hosted the delegation and enthusiastically shared the college’s achievements and experiences in school-enterprise collaboration, teacher training, and talent cultivation.
Through this training programme, the participating teachers not only gained insight into enterprises, learning about their development and practical needs, but also visited a model institution for cultivating application-oriented talent. They acquired a deeper understanding of various talent cultivation models and the development approaches of application-oriented universities, which was highly appreciated by the participating teachers.
