Teacher Exchange Meeting Held Between IICD and Dongseo University to Deepen International Industry-Education Integration

On 4 December, Professor Zhang Zhouning, Dean of the College of Design at Dongseo University, Korea, and her delegation of expert scholars visited our university for an exchange event. Professor Xia Chunming, Vice President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), warmly welcomed the delegation from Dongseo University. The meeting was attended by Li Yunxian, Party Secretary of the School of Art and Design, Professor Gu Yi, Dean of the International Institute of Creative Design (IICD), Ma Jianli, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Art and Design, Xu Rongrong, Vice Dean of IICD, and faculty members from the Department of Digital Media Art.

Vice President Xia Chunming extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Dongseo University, expressing his desire for both institutions to continue deepening international industry-education integration and jointly promoting innovative development in design education.

During the exchange meeting, Li Yunxian, Party Secretary of the School of Art and Design, expressed gratitude towards Dongseo University for their attentive care and support provided to SUES students studying abroad in Korea. Professor Gu Yi, Dean of IICD, shared hopes for further strengthening cooperative education between the two universities. Both parties engaged in an in-depth and productive discussion on topics including innovative concepts in design education, teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and cultivating students' practical abilities.


The successful hosting of this exchange event not only strengthened the friendship and cooperative ties between Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) and Dongseo University, Korea, but also laid a solid foundation for future academic exchanges and collaboration between the two universities. Both sides expressed their intention to use this event as an opportunity to further expand areas of cooperation and jointly promote the internationalisation of design education.
