On 28 February, the International Institute of Creative Design (IICD) held a college assembly for the new semester in Conference Room 1009 of the Industry-Education Integration Building. The purpose of the assembly was to implement the spirit of the university’s 2025 Spring Semester Strategic Planning and Mid-Level Cadres Meeting, providing clear direction for the tasks and responsibilities of the coming semester. Professor Gu Yi, Dean of the Institute, presided over the assembly, which was attended by all members of the Institute's leadership team and teaching staff.
At the meeting, Dean Gu Yi conveyed the spirit of the university’s 2025 Spring Semester Strategic Planning and Mid-Level Cadres Meeting. He emphasised that as the Institute enters a new phase of development, it is essential to maintain clear-headedness, objectively recognise existing shortcomings, accurately position the Institute's future development, and move forward with determination. He then comprehensively outlined the key tasks of the Institute for the year, providing specific plans in areas including AI-driven teaching and research, infrastructure construction, advancement of research projects, expansion of international partnerships, organisation of international conferences, and implementation of key projects.
Ma Jianli, Deputy Secretary of the Institute, made detailed arrangements regarding key areas such as student management, graduate employment, and institutional development. He stressed that student affairs comprise a core component of the Institute's work, requiring enhancement of ideological and political education, improvement of employment services, and continuous refinement of internal management systems, thereby creating a harmonious and orderly environment for all students and staff.
Additionally, Vice-Dean Xu Rongrong provided specific guidelines on routine teaching management, applications for teaching achievement awards, and the submission and completion of teaching development projects. She reiterated that teaching quality is the lifeline of the Institute, and it is therefore crucial to continuously optimise teaching processes, enhance teaching effectiveness, and actively apply for various teaching awards and educational development projects.
All participants committed themselves to carrying forward their roles with renewed enthusiasm and a pragmatic approach, striving collectively to propel the Institute to new achievements and levels of excellence.
